How is pool priced?
By the table, not the person, with two rates. Off-peak, Monday to Friday until 6pm: £8 an hour, £14 for two, £20 for three. Peak, every evening from 6pm plus weekends and bank holidays: £12 an hour, £20 for two, £28 for three. The Weeknight Evening Pass is £32 for the table from 6pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, four peak hours for the price of three. Cues, chalk, balls and the triangle are included, and the tables are lights-down rather than coin-operated, so a scratch doesn't cost you a game.
What counts as peak?
Any time from 6pm, all day Saturday and Sunday, and bank holidays. Everything else is off-peak: weekday afternoons are the cheapest time to play, and the quietest. A booking that starts before 6pm is charged at the off-peak rate for its whole length.
Can I just turn up?
Yes. Walk-up tables are first come, first served, and booking ahead is free, so book if you're coming at a busy time. The Weeknight Pit Pass includes walk-up pool whenever a table's free.
English or American tables?
English 7 ft tables as standard, red and yellow balls. One American 9-ball table, available for £4 an hour on top.
How old do you need to be?
Any age. Under-16s need an adult at the table with them. No sitting on the cushions, no masse shots and no drinks on the rails, whatever your age.
Is there a league?
Most Tuesdays from 7pm: £5 entry, singles, round robin into a knockout, prize pot to the winner and a photo on the wall. Walk-ups welcome; tell us when you arrive.
Can we mix pool with the games floor?
Yes. Pot & Play gives two to four of you a table for two hours and a games wristband each with 30 credits for £15 a head. Swap between the table and the machines as you like.
